What happens in Emmerdale this week
Joe Tate’s week takes a drastic turn after he sacks Shaun, thinking he is behind the blackmail, and then Shaun whacks him over the head with a shovel. When Joe wakes up, he is then in the clutches of an angry Dr Crowley – but what does he want? Will Joe be okay?
Elsewhere, Gabby continues to worry about her engagement dress. Determined to fit into it, she begins to go to extreme lengths to do it. Her starvation diet has disastrous consequences when she is out for a drive with Sarah and faints at the wheel. Sarah, still fragile from her surgery, is forced to get them to safety and then to hospital. By the time they arrive at the hospital, the girls are in a bad way. But will they be okay?
The scare makes Cain realise just how much his granddaughter wants a baby. He suggests surrogacy and promises he will do whatever it takes to help her. But his stance is very different from an angry Charity’s. Will she help Sarah?
