EastEnders has confirmed an important update about where Zoe Slater is, as the truth is finally revealed in explosive fashion tonight.
This week, Tommy stumbled upon Alfie and Stacey’s huge secret, finding out that they’ve seen Zoe and have kept this from Kat.
He threatened to spill the beans and show his mum the hidden voicemail but eventually decided against it after a tense confrontation.
Kat was busy organising the summer barbecue in today’s episode, but Alfie remained distracted. He told Stacey that he tried to phone Zoe this morning and there was a UK dialling tone, which proves that she is now back in the country.
However, Jean overheard their chat about Zoe coming home, and Stacey was forced to tell her the truth about the last few months. Jean was adamant that Kat needs to know today, feeling unable to keep the secret for long.
As the day continued, Jean decided to tell Kat the truth herself – but she didn’t get the chance, as Ian disturbed the barbecue and caused chaos.
Meanwhile, Tommy escaped his grounding and went to the café with Joel, where his dangerous mate explained more of his misogynistic views.
When Lily and Amy arrived, Joel began hurling horrific abuse at them, and when they argued back, he threw a chair across the room in a disturbing fit of anger.
Tommy tried to hold Joel back, but furious Kat arrived and ordered her son home. Back at The Vic, Kat and Tommy had a devastating confrontation, with Kat suggesting it was her fault that he had gone down the wrong path.
Kat conceded that Tommy should live elsewhere if he hates her so much. Tommy stormed out, leaving Alfie to comfort Kat – knowing the real reason the teen is angry.
Tommy broke down in tears alone in the park, and decided to reach out to Zoe via text, saying, “I can’t deal with mum anymore either.”
Elsewhere, with Kat reflecting on her failures as a mother, Alfie felt that he couldn’t lie to her any longer and explained that Tommy was actually angry with him.
He finally admitted that it wasn’t Hayley he went to Spain to help, it was Zoe. How will Kat react to this life-changing news about her daughter?
