Not only does EastEnders’ George Knight have to contend with Kojo Asare’s drug nightmare next week, but he also ends up back in bed with Nicola Mitchell.
The unlikely pair have already hooked up once and vowed it was a one-off, so what causes this repeat performance?
“Word has quickly spread about George and Nicola,” explains our Walford insider, “and he wasn’t happy about the tense row that his new flame had with his ex-wife Cindy.
“George called things off with Nicola, stressing that their romance was never serious. But it seems they can’t stay apart for too long…”
It’s the anniversary of Nicola’s dad’s death next week and she’s struggling to cope with the grief – then she runs into her former fling during a vulnerable moment.
Seeing how emotional Nicola is, George offers her a shoulder to cry on. The duo are soon finding mutual ground over the difficult relationships they had with their respective fathers.
George never got the chance to know his biological dad Henry, who was beaten to death by his evil adopted father Eddie. Relations between George and Eddie were always strained, and learning the truth about Henry’s death last year has been a lot for the ex-landlord to process.
Time runs away as the pair chat about their tricky pasts, and George realises he’s meant to be spending time with Kojo as part of his birthday treat. Has he let his brother down?
“We know that this decision leads to unforeseen horrific consequences for Kojo,” says our source, “but George can’t bear to tear himself away from Nicola. Deep down, is he secretly pleased he gets to be in her company for a little longer?”
Unable to resist the electric attraction between them and feeling a deeper connection over sharing stories of their traumatic past, Nicola and George throw caution to the wind and end up getting passionate once more!
However, is this just another bit of no-strings fun, or the start of something serious?
