EastEnders looked set to end the feud between George Knight and Harry Mitchell, though a late twist ensured it would rumble on further.
Tensions escalated between the pair on Wednesday as George found his brother, Kojo, lying unresponsive after he had taken a pill. He incorrectly assumed that it was Harry who had given it to him, when it was actually Okie.
Thursday’s (21 August) instalment began with George informing Jack Branning that he would pursue Harry for information on Kojo’s collapse. Harry, meanwhile, was worried about Kojo, though his friend wasn’t answering his phone.
Harry met with Ravi and Okie to discuss the situation, with Ravi chastising Okie for his carelessness regarding Kojo. His wrath was soon diverted to Harry, with Ravi urging him to find Kojo if he didn’t want a “problem” to surface.
Harry eventually found Kojo, though the latter insisted that he had no intention of returning to the flat any time soon. Harry assured Kojo that he wouldn’t let anything else happen to him, but their meeting was cut short by George.
He accused Harry once more, though Kojo covered for his friend. George let the matter rest for the time being, though he later confided in Elaine that he wasn’t completely convinced by Kojo’s version of events.
A disconsolate Harry told his mother, Nicola that George had contacted with details of a meeting, with the figure admitting that he wanted to leave the criminal life behind in favour of a normal one.
