A Coronation Street star was spotted having a family day out at a popular attraction loved by Scousers. Samia Longchambon, 43, is best known for playing Maria Connor and first appeared on the cobbles 25 years ago in 2000.
The Corrie star made a recent trip to soak up the sun at Blackpool Pleasure Beach with her husband, Dancing on Ice professional Sylvian, and their two children. Taking to social media, Samia shared on her Instagram Stories what their family day out was like, as they enjoyed rides such as Valhalla and ICON.
She wrote: “@Pleasure_Beach what a pleasure today was #familydayout” followed by “Before the soaking! #Valhalla” against a picture of Sylvain at the queue of the ride.
The family outing came after the Longchambons attended co-star Jack P. Shepherd’s wedding along with other Corrie actors last month, Lancs Live reports.
Amanda Thompson OBE, CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort said the famous family are “no strangers” to the site. She said: “It was lovely to see Samia, Sylvain and their children enjoying Pleasure Beach this week. We’re no strangers to the Longchambons… Sylvain actually ice skates here at Pleasure Beach, so it’s really fun to see him here on a jolly with his nearest and dearest rather than whizzing around the ice!”
Samia and Sylvain aren’t the only celebs to have enjoyed some Pleasure Beach fun. Last week chatty man Alan Carr was seen at the park with his film crew.

The presenter was in the area for the filming of the newest season of his ITV show Changing Ends. Amanda added: “We love welcoming famous faces to the park, but what’s even better is seeing them enjoying it just like any other family. Pleasure Beach is all about making memories, and it’s clear Samia, Sylvain, and their children made plenty during their visit.”
Pleasure Beach is open every day this Summer, and is also hosting various exciting events this August, which include two late night events in the form of Twilight Thrills and Late Night Riding and Fireworks, as well as Summertime Games and Nickelodeon’s Summer of Slime.
The ECHO recently reported how Blackpool Pleasure Beach has introduced a major change to its admission policy, sparking mixed reactions from visitors. For the first time ever, the theme park has opened its doors to dogs, allowing guests to bring their four-legged companions on Sundays throughout August.
The Lancashire venue claims it aims to eliminate the guilt pet owners feel when abandoning their animals at home, launching these special canine-friendly sessions which could be rolled out year-round if proven popular. The ‘Dog’s Day Out’ initiative enables visitors to purchase a special Dog Entry Pass alongside their standard ticket, giving their cherished pets full park access every Sunday.
