Next week on EastEnders, Oscar makes a surprising return to the Square, while Julie plans to take Nigel away from Walford, and Phil discovers Callum’s betrayal.

1. Oscar returns to Walford
Lauren receives a surprise phone call which leads her to reunite with her younger brother Oscar. The pair catch up and Lauren finds out why he can’t return home. Meanwhile, Jack also returns to the Square after a couple of months away, and he quickly learns that his nephew is back in town.
As Peter and Ian voice their suspicions, Oscar tries to persuade Lauren to let him stay with her. She eventually agrees, though makes him promise to behave. But Oscar then gets a mysterious message – what is he hiding?
2. Jay calls Julie
When Nigel gets emotional over a photo of him and Julie on their wedding day, Jay finds out why he is no longer in touch with his estranged wife. Phil urges him not to get involved, but following advice from Callum and Kat, he decides to secretly search for Julie online.
Jay finds out that Julie has been looking for her husband, so he sets out to tell Nigel the news. But when Phil intercepts this chat, Jay makes the call and reaches out to Julie himself.
3. Harry faces pressure
Ravi gives Harry some drugs to sell, making it clear that he has a debt to pay in the aftermath of the missing stash. Things get worse for Harry when he finds himself looking for a new place to live, but thankfully, Kojo comes to the rescue.
George tells Kojo he is concerned about his friendship with Harry – and it turns out he is right to be worried. When Ravi later arrives to talk about the next job with Harry, he says that they’ll be able to trick Kojo and use his flat for dodgy business. Harry feels uncomfortable, but will he betray his friend and follow Ravi’s orders?
4. The Slaters team up
Linda explains to Kat that The Vic is set to be sold at auction. Ian also hears of this news and decides to bid for the pub himself. Vowing to rebuild the Beale empire in Walford, he brags about his plans in front of Kat and Stacey.
But Jean is nervous about Ian’s potential takeover, and fears that she might lose her cleaning job if the Beales were in charge – so Kat and Stacey hatch a plan. Later, Ian finds out that Stacey has won £100,000 on a scratchcard and wants to bid for The Vic with her winnings. Will the Slaters or the Beales come out on top?
5. Julie and Nigel reunite
Julie returns to Walford and is keen to know what has happened to Nigel. Jay prepares to tell her the truth about Nigel’s dementia – but he doesn’t get the chance, as she spots her husband with Phil in the Square. Julie rushes over but Nigel doesn’t recognise her and gets overwhelmed.
Phil and Julie start arguing, and Nigel is angry that his loved ones are in conflict. But Phil later tries to make amends by playing Julie a video that Nigel previously recorded for her, explaining why he walked out on her after his diagnosis.
6. Oscar schemes
Oscar quickly makes his mark in the Square and ends up talking to Jack about his difficult relationship with his parents Max and Tanya.
But the teen later decides to try and scam Ian by pretending to suffer a fall in the chip shop. He demands compensation, which amuses Stacey nearby – but the incident is also observed by his social worker, and there are big consequences.
7. Julie makes exit plans
Julie decides to take Nigel home to Scotland, but she and Phil clash over this major plan. Phil struggles to accept this, and Linda tries to support him as he processes his feelings. Meanwhile, Julie and Jay discuss Phil and Nigel’s relationship, and she finds out more about the last few months.
But as Julie and Phil butt heads once again, Nigel rushes out after begging them to stop fighting. Will Phil be able to say goodbye to his friend, and will Nigel leave Walford?
8. Oscar gets a new job
Oscar continues to cause havoc, so Jack encourages Lauren to give him a chance at a fresh start with a trial shift on the fruit and veg stall. While Oscar isn’t too keen, Penny gets creative and persuades him to give it a go.
His first day on the job is eventful, and the teen isn’t expected to see out the day. But after he finds out that his nephew Jimmy is blind, Oscar decides to take things seriously and work hard. Will this mark a fresh start?
9. Phil discovers an affair
While Callum has insisted that he and Johnny can only be friends, he is jealous that Johnny had a one-night stand with someone else – and it isn’t long before the pair are back together again. But when Linda invites Phil for a chat upstairs at The Vic, he catches Callum and Johnny in the act.
Furious that his son Ben has been cheated on, Phil explodes and lunges at Johnny, until Jay, Callum and Billy get him to stop. Callum later reaches out to Phil and asks him not to tell Ben and Lexi about his affair with Johnny. But when he and Jay try to make amends with Phil, a huge argument breaks out. Has the family been torn apart for good?
10. Stacey gets a visitor
Stacey is unnerved when she spots a man outside her house, as she believes that he is a bailiff.
Scared about her future, she gets Eve involved, but when the pair investigate, they discover that the man actually works for an insurance company. What does he want from Stacey?
