Appalled fans of EastEnders have threatened to complain to Ofcom over Suki and her manipulation of Avani and her baby plans. In last night’s episode (Tuesday, July 29), Avani agreed to carry her baby to full term so that Suki and Eve can adopt once it’s born.
Avani had initially planned on having an abortion, even making an appointment at a clinic to terminate the pregnancy. However, since finding out, Suki has been firing on all cylinders to change Avani’s mind.
When emotional blackmail failed, Suki then offered Avani money to keep the child – an offer Avani eventually accepted.

EastEnders fans outraged at Avani baby storyline
Taking to social media as last night’s episode aired, fans shared their fury at what they’d just witnessed Suki do. And, to many, the soap had gone too far in its handling of the already controversial teenage pregnancy storyline.
“This is the first storyline that’s made me consider not watching eastenders anymore. I’m even tempted to write to Ofcom and I’d suggest others do. This storyline is vile,” wrote one fan on a Reddit thread.
“I was actually thinking of writing to Ofcom whilst reading the comments of this post before I got to yours – I definitely will now as it sends the wrong message to real life girls that might be in a similar situation. They’ve done the teen mum thing with Lily, there’s no need to do it with Avani,” a second responded.
“This plot is genuinely infuriating enough to stop lol it’s just too offensive,” said a third.
“I’ve actually had to just turn it off it’s ridiculous,” wrote a third.

Suki and Avani almost caught in EastEnders spoilers
EastEnders spoilers for next week reveal that Suki and Avani’s secret is almost uncovered when Priya finds a receipt in Avani’s pocket. This hospital receipt serves as evidence of the pair’s underhand dealings – having just attended Avani’s 12-week scan at the hospital.
Now in on the plan, Eve helps Avani lie to Priya, but it’s clear she’s having second thoughts. But how and when will Eve find out? And can Suki convince her to buy into the plan?
