In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight (Friday, May 30) it’s still John and Aaron’s big day, but the wedding hangs in the balance after Robert’s return, so will it go ahead?

Here’s what’s happening in Emmerdale tonight.

1. Will John and Aaron get married after Robert’s return?

The day of John and Aaron’s wedding has been anything but straight forward. With John Sugden suffering recurring visions every day about things that could go wrong, he’s been on the edge all week.

First it was being arrested for Nate’s murder as the water company dredged the lake. But then the works were cancelled and John had a reprieve. Then it was Aidan Moore waking up. John was about to kill him for real when Aidan slipped back into a coma; crisis number two averted.

But the final one was the one that actually cancelled the wedding: Robert Sugden’s shock return. Newly released from prison and back for Aaron, Robert’s entrance left Aaron seriously confused. Aaron punched him, then kissed him and was left with a decision to make.

“I’m not asking you to choose me, Aaron,” Robert told him. “I’m asking you to choose us.” But as John waits at the village hall to see who Aaron’s heart lies with tonight, Aaron must make his choice. Will he go with Robert, the man he truly loves and his soulmate? Or will choose the man who helped him cover up a murder and has promised to be his future?

Of course, Aaron doesn’t know all the dark secrets John is hiding so something tells us now isn’t the time for Robron’s happy ever after just yet…

Lewis recently arrived in the Dales to connect with long-lost brother Ross. Ross was not much interested in Lewis until he discovered Lewis grew “medical marijuana”.

After Mack was trapped in Lewis’s attic trying to steal the stash, Lewis agreed to release Mack – but only if Ross and Moira told him the truth about his mum Emma Barton.

Could Kyle’s news be related to the showdown between Lewis and Moira?
