Strictly Come Dancing star Michelle Tsiakkas has opened up about her enduring friendship with Jamie Borthwick, following his suspension from EastEnders. The pair, who danced together on the 2024 season of the BBC dance competition, were eliminated in week 10 after a dance-off with Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, ultimately finishing in 7th place. Despite their exit, Michelle and Jamie have remained close friends.
In a recent interview, Michelle shared that their bond is like that of “brother and sister,” and that they continue to stay in touch. “Whatever you saw on screen of our relationship together is what our relationship is like,” she explained. “We’re really close. He still actually messages me saying that he misses it.”

Jamie, who has played Jay Brown on EastEnders since 2006, was suspended from the soap in June after an alleged incident in which he used a disabled slur while filming Strictly Come Dancing at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
