Emmerdale‘s Kim Tate is left furious next week as her secret deal with Robert Sugden goes up in smoke.
Kim realises that she’s underestimated Robert when he breaks his verbal agreement to sell Annie’s Field to her – which thwarts a bigger plan she has in mind…
“Kim is expanding her empire and won’t take kindly to her plans being undermined like this,” our Emmerdale source reveals.
“Robert is causing chaos wherever he goes at the moment – but could he live to regret crossing Kim like this?”
The two characters appeared to strike a surprising alliance earlier this month, shortly after Robert had convinced Moira to sell the field to him for a cheap price.
Robert gave Moira a sob story to explain why he needed mates’ rates – and also played up how sentimental he felt over the old Sugden family land.
Once Robert headed to Home Farm, though, it was revealed that he planned to sell Annie’s Field to Kim for a profit as soon as possible.
Next week, Robert prepares to meet with Kim to sign the relevant documents. Hinting at her bigger agenda, Kim warns Joe Tate that nobody can find out about their plans for the field – but she soon messes up in front of Robert…
“Once Robert arrives, he quickly notices that Kim seems strangely desperate over the field,” our insider adds.
“It’s not like Kim to show any vulnerability, so Robert makes the most of it and refuses to sign the paperwork after all – much to her anger.”
Surveying the field later, Robert makes it his mission to find out why Kim is so interested in this specific piece of land.
Claire King, who plays Kim, recently told us: “She’s been buying land bit by bit whenever it comes up, but she soon comes across a stumbling block with Annie’s Field, which she obviously tried to buy from Robert recently.
“Kim is interested in getting Butler’s Farm as well, which could be interesting. Kim and Moira are not the best of mates.”
