Revealing his eagerness for the audience to get to know his role, he added: “It’s a real joy to come to work every day and play Cam. I can’t wait for the viewers to meet nurse Cam as he arrives at Holby and very quickly realises he might have bitten off more than he can chew!”
Barney, no stranger to the small screen, began his acting journey in 2013, featuring in Law and Order: UK.
Since then, he has appeared in Doctors, Death in Paradise, and portrayed PC Harness in ITV’s The Larkins, a reimagining of The Darling Buds of May, featuring his father, Bradley Walsh, as Pop Larkin.

Barney is not only an actor but also a television presenter. He co-presents the BBC’s revival of Gladiators with his father and stars with him in the hit ITV travel series Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad, which has just completed its sixth season.
Reflecting on their father-son relationship, Bradley once commented on ITV’s ‘This Morning’: “He has always been my son, and you always take care of them.
“But then all of a sudden he becomes your equal and a work colleague, and a mate, and someone you respect.”
