After finally agreeing to an open marriage, Gino Palazzolo and wife Jasmine Pineda recommitted to each other on the season 2 finale of 90 Day: The Last Resort, paving the way for allowing Matt Branistareanu into their relationship.
Episode 17 of season 2 started where the last episode ended, with Jasmine, 38, calling Matt, 37, so Gino, 56, could have his first conversation with him.
In the FaceTime call, Gino confirmed with Matt that he met Jasmine at the gym and that the two not yet been intimate.
Gino told Matt, “One of the things that Jasmine and I already talked about, like one of the guidelines and such was, you know, safe sex during the open relationship. Are you willing to agree to that on your end?” Matt confirmed he was fine with that.
The Michigan native then got to the heart of what was making him the most fearful about the open marriage, and that was what would happen if Jasmine began developing strong feelings for Matt.
“OK, let’s say she’s, you know, starting to fall in love or get this really strong bond with you. Jasmine and I agreed that at that point we would have to end this because we don’t want feelings to get involved or get too emotional attached to each other,” Gino explained.
While Matt agreed, he added, “I do think Jasmine is kind of fragile, so she does … sometimes need a delicate way of handling her or talking to her when I don’t see that she is taken care of the way she should be. It’s kind of heartbreaking because Jasmine is, you know, she can be a little bit of a brat, but she has a good heart.”
While Gino said he could “appreciate” that, he told Matt, “I’d rather just leave that between her and I.”

Even though he agreed to the open marriage involving Matt, Gino admitted that part of him just wanted to “punch this guy.”
The product development engineer made it clear once again in a confessional that he doesn’t want an open marriage but agreed to it so that he doesn’t lose Jasmine.
“I don’t like the way Matt talked to me. But unfortunately I feel like I’ve been put in a corner by Jasmine,” Gino explained, adding how Matt was the only person she wanted in their open marriage and with the recommitment ceremony the following day, “I don’t feel like I have another choice.”
Things got even worse when Gino and Jasmine joined Rob Warne, Stacey Silva, Florian Sukaj, Sophie Sierra, Julia Trubkina and Brandon Gibbs for a group night out before the recommitment ceremony.
Rob, 33, had been advising Gino against an open marriage, telling him that he’ll be “last one” to find out when things have gone too far between Matt and Jasmine.
Gino told the group about his phone call with Matt, saying, “They have a very good friendship going on. And that worries me because this is only supposed to be like an intimacy thing.”
After Rob encouraged Gino and Jasmine to both start from the beginning and find a new person, he agreed, saying Matt was “out” for now. That led Jasmine to break town in tears and reiterated how she and Gino hadn’t had sex in nine months.
“I’ve been faithful to Gino, but you have no idea how I have to open myself. You have been here, been f–king judgmental, and you are the first people crucifying me!” As she got angrier, the Panama native stormed off from the table yelling, “F–k you, f–k everybody,” declaring that she was returning to Michigan.
