But, thankfully, the soap returns at its usual time on Wednesday 23rd July, as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) reels from the discovery of a supposed confession, leaving John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) overwhelmed with guilt.
When the police tell Cain and Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) about Owen’s confession to Nate’s murder, John acts shocked to hear the news – despite having orchestrated the entire thing.
John hopes to see an improved mood in Cain, but when he bombards Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) with questions about Owen, John is torn to see Cain robbed of getting justice.

Elsewhere this week, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) continues to grow suspicious of John and finds some pretty damning evidence that could reveal the truth about him.
Meanwhile, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) struggles with a big decision as Kim Tate (Claire King) makes an offer on Butlers Farm and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) gives Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) an ultimatum about their marriage after learning that Charity wants to be Sarah Sugden’s surrogate.
And April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has a big announcement as she confesses to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) that she has been enjoying working at Take a Vow with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
Marlon wants April to return to education come September, but April has other plans.
