Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper has teased who will save Belle Dingle from evil Tom King.

Eden plays Belle Dingle on the ITV soap, but she has been subjected to harrowing abuse at the hands of her husband Tom (played by James Chase). He has been gaslighting her, but next week she finds out she’s pregnant and things seemingly change.

Tom vows to be a better husband to Belle, but of course that isn’t the case and it isn’t long before he’s confessing to Rhona all about the pregnancy, with Belle horrified that people know about it so early on.

Belle is in serious danger

Speaking about the scenes, she said: “Belle knew he would do this… I think that is why she just wanted to have some time – to put the brakes on a bit. She is aghast when she walks into the cafe and Jimmy, Nicola, Paddy are all congratulating her. Later Tom has booked her another appointment. Wendy is very surprised to see her again and I think queries what is going on. She tries to talk to Belle alone.”

Could Eden have just dropped a clue about who might realise what Tom is really up to?

Eden revealed that Belle is desperately clinging on to the hope that Tom might change. She explained: “She only tells him to stop him hitting her. She didn’t mean to tell him,” before adding that Belle has big hopes for the future.

“Belle is holding onto a glimmer of hope this can truly change him and becoming a dad will mean he will be a better person to her,” she added, when asked whether she thinks Tom might be able to change now she’s pregnant.

However, things get worse next week – and Belle is in serious danger. Tom locks her in the house, and later when Belle finds herself going upstairs for a nap with Piper, a teacloth catches fire in the kitchen. Will she make it out ok?
