Kim Tate’s (Claire King) new boyfriend Eddie has been confirmed as Doctor Crowley (James Hillier) in Emmerdale.
The character revealed to friend Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) a few days ago that her new love interest Eddie works as a cosmetic surgeon, and that they met each other while at a racing event.
It’s all been quite light-hearted and exciting for Kim, who hasn’t been in a relationship since Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), who died last Christmas.
In this evening’s episode, Kim revealed to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) that Eddie was sitting in the kitchen. Both intrigued, they made their way in, and Joe was utterly flawed to discover that Eddie was in fact Doctor Crowley.
Yesterday, the dodgy surgeon held Joe hostage in a revenge plan after the illegal kidney transplant operation earlier this year. Joe forced Crowley to perform the donation and then gave him money afterwards. In the period where we haven’t seen Crowley, he has become an even more desperate man with ‘nothing to lose’.
Crowley’s plot ended with Joe transferring £100k to him, but that apparently hasn’t satisfied him.
Crowley, Kim and Dawn sat down with drinks and chatted, while Joe tried to keep a straight face and not give Eddie’s identity away.
The doctor took great pleasure in winding Joe up in this moment, spinning a story about how his wife died of cancer and that he feels a strong connection with Kim.
