Emmerdale confirms two huge cons in Joe Tate’s sly new storyline

Emmerdale has revealed the truth over Joe Tate’s sly new plans for Moira Dingle.

Joe is trying to tempt Moira into selling Butler’s Farm – but as ever with the Tates, there’s a sting in the tail.

The scheming businessman has promised Moira that she can stay on as a tenant farmer if she agrees to hand over ownership of Butler’s without any fuss.

It’s a tempting offer, as Moira is currently facing financial ruin due to the severe penalties she’s received for the recent slurry leak at her farm.

Sadly for Moira, Joe is about to reveal that he and Kim have no intention of keeping her around if the deal goes ahead.

In a private chat with his girlfriend Dawn Fletcher in tonight’s episode, ruthless Joe confesses that his generous promises to Moira can’t be trusted.

When Dawn questions whether Moira would really give up her family home, Joe replies: “She won’t have to. Kim’s going to lease it back to her.

“I mean, I’m sure we’ll find some loophole later down the line and turf her out, but she doesn’t need to know that…”

While Dawn is appalled by Joe’s sneaky tactics, he insists that “the ends justify the means” and he’ll stop at nothing to prove himself to Kim, who’s away in Dubai.

Later, another nasty act is revealed as Moira watches Joe in cahoots with Noel McHughs, the man from the water board who refused to scrap her fine.

It’s revealed that Joe bribed Noel to maintain Moira’s stern punishment, which would increase the pressure on her to cut her losses by selling up.

After briefly thinking she was getting a fair deal, Moira is stunned by Joe’s antics – but does she have the energy to keep standing her ground? Fans can see how the drama unfolds when the episode airs on ITV1 tonight, or watch right now on ITVX or YouTube.
