Earlier this year, EastEnders saw the dramatic return of Vicki Fowler, who has been at the centre of constant turmoil since her reappearance, particularly involving her step-son Joel Marshall.
As avid viewers of the enduring BBC soap will recall, Vicki is the offspring of teenage mum Michelle Fowler and Dirty Den Watts, so a simple life was never on the cards for her.
Since Vicki’s arrival, three actors have portrayed the character, with Scarlett Alice Johnson taking on the role between 2003 and 2004.
In 2004, Vicki bid farewell to Walford, heading back to the US before rekindling an old romance with Spencer Moon (Christopher Parker) in Australia.

She also had a fleeting reunion with her adoptive sister Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) before she departed to visit Michelle overseas.
Since her return to Albert Square, Vicki believed Zack Hudson (James Farrar) had been murdered, faced accusations of theft from the Panesars, and grappled with the threat of homelessness.

She has also dealt with issues stemming from Joel after he filmed himself having sex with schoolgirl Avani (Aaliyah James) and sexually assaulted a woman on the London Underground.
In upcoming scenes, Joel is set to stir up more trouble for Vicki when he unleashes a verbal tirade on the Slaters.
As Vicki delves into the ups and downs of life in Walford, let’s take a peek at Alice Haig’s family life off-screen.
