Claire has gotten edgier ever since she lost her father, Cole. Fans like the bite that she’s been giving her family and her boyfriend, Kyle.
First, Claire had an evil side. Then, she became a reformed good girl. Now, she has an edge to her. Fans of The Young and the Restless are loving this side to her. She’s not pulling any punches, especially when it comes to her family or her boyfriend.
New Improved Claire
Claire (Hayley Erin) has a bite to her. She has every reason to be angry these days. She just lost her father and the happy family she wanted. Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) is doing whatever it takes to destroy her relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor). She’s not going to let him off the hook, but she plans on going after Audra (Zuleyka Silver) for trying to seduce him.
This new character has a complex dynamic, and fans are loving it. Most fans didn’t warm up to her when she was more saccharine and sweet. Over on one soap opera message board, the original poster wrote, “I’m enjoying Nu Claire — the one with an edge, who’s angry and tough. When Claire was a nanny, Claire/butterfly kisses Claire, I almost died of diabetic shock. I’m looking forward to seeing her take on whoever she gets mad at… starting with Audra and Victor!”
Another person agreed, writing, “I like her feisty. The rehab from sociopathic behavior to good girl is complete, but…she needed to see Victor clearly.” Claire is realizing that her new family isn’t what it seems. Of course, she shouldn’t go back to hating them and plotting murder on them, but she finally got a wake-up call about her grandfather. “Claire with spunk to stand up for herself is someone I can get behind,” another person agreed.
What Do Fans Think?
Of course, not all Y&R fans are fans of Claire, whether she’s good or bad. One person wrote, “Good luck! I still can’t stand Claire.” Another responded, “She has no edge. Just big innocent boring eyes, like Audra said,” to which another added, “Yeah, I do not see her with an edge either. I keep hoping for one, but like you say, all we see is those big innocent boring eyes.”
