Casualty star’s huge role in James Bond game before iconic BBC medical drama

Kirsty Mitchell is widely recognised for her role as Faith Cadogan in Casualty, but she was a James Bond ‘star’ during the early stages of her career. The Scottish actress has graced our screens for decades, making her TV debut in 1996, but her 007 role was a significant milestone in her career.

The 50 year old first joined the BBC medical drama series as Faith in 2019 and has since become a beloved character on the show.

However, outside of her scrubs and dramatic storylines, Kirsty starred alongside Daniel Craig in the James Bond 2010 video game, GoldenEye 007. In this role, she provided the voice and likeness for the fictional character Natalya Simonova.

Since her remarkable and unique role in the video game, Kirsty has accumulated a host of credits to her name. In 2011, she appeared in an episode of Silent Witness, aptly titled First Casualty, as Charlotte Jenkins, before making a one-off appearance in Casualty as Gina Wilson.

Following this she appeared on Hollyoaks as Sadie Bradley in 2015 and in the following year starred as Caroline in New Blood. Kirsty has also starred in TV shows, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, The Leisure Seeker, Down a Dark Hall, Creation Stories and Find Me in Paris.

She also featured in video games, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron in 2011 as Gabriel and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in 2017 as Mòrag. Before stepping foot into the spotlight, the actress who hails from Glasgow, was a trained ballet dancer and won the Miss Scotland title at the age of 17.

Today, Kirsty can be found starring in her beloved role on Casualty, attending awards shows with her co-stars or spending time with her beloved dog in snaps on her Instagram page. Not much else is known about the TV star who keeps her private life away from the spotlight.
