Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has revealed that she is expecting a baby with husband Adam Whitehead.
The pair wed earlier this year in Manchester after becoming engaged in 2023, and have today revealed via Instagram that they are expecting a baby, with Hodgins posting the news on her account.
“First comes love, Then comes marriage, Then comes… Baby Whitehead ❤️” wrote Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap, in the caption. The post also included an image of the actor and Whitehead holding various scan photos.
The pair were congratulated by several of Hodgins’s co-stars in the comment section, with Mandy Dingle actor Lisa Riley writing: “Congratulations-absolutely wonderful news 💛made up for you both 💛”
“Omg iz!! So happy for you both, big congratulations ❤️❤️❤️” commented Daisy Campbell, who played Amelia Spencer on the soap, while Belle Dingle actor Eden Taylor-Draper wrote: “She’s a mommy, mamacita ✨”
There were also comments from Bradley Riches and Danny Miller, who play Lewis Barton and Aaron Dingle, while former star Natalie Ann Jamieson wrote: “Ahhh congratulations guys! Lovely news! X x x”
Rosie Bentham and Charley Webb, who portray Gabby Thomas and Debbie Dingle respectively, also posted their own messages, while Vanessa Woodfield actor Michelle Hardwick wrote: “Ahhh perfect! Congratulations to you both! ♥️♥️”
Hodgins, who debuted as Victoria in 2006, shared a follow-up post from OK! where the pair had been interviewed about their pregnancy journey, with the actor saying in the clip: “It’s been good so far. I’ve been tired… But [he’s] been good – [he’s] looked after me.”
“The baby is due at the beginning of next year. It didn’t come as a surprise because we knew when we got married that we wanted to start a family,” she continued, with Whitehead describing the period as “exciting”.
Hodgins isn’t the only Emmerdale star to announce some pregnancy news this week, with Paula Lane – who played Ella Forster until her departure earlier this year – confirming that she is expecting a child with her husband.
