Carterâs unraveling ended in disaster as he shot and killed Chance while aiming at Cane, and then turned the gun on himself. Lily, Billy, and Cane were left reeling as they discovered Carterâs body in the maze. Lily, emotionally gutted, told Cane to stay away from her for good. Cane, however, had other plans.
