Departing EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has admitted that there’s things he ‘doesn’t like’ about his younger brother Freddy.

With new Executive Producer Ben Wadey continuing to ring in the changes on the BBC soap, it was announced last month that Bobby will be the next to leave.

Bobby has been playing the role of Freddie Slater, the son of Little Mo, since 2022, with the character originally played by twins Alex and Tom Kilby from 2004 to 2006.

The character is best known for being involved in a heated love triangle with his best friend Bobby Beale and his girlfriend Anna Knight.

Confirming his exit, a BBC spokesperson said in June: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Previously taking a break in 2023 to compete on Strictly Come Dancing, Bobby reached the final with his partner Dianne Buswell in a season that was won by Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola.

With his final Albert Square scenes on the horizon, Bobby has said that his brother Freddy needs to ‘grow up’ amid his feud with their dad Jeff.

It’s been wide reported in recent months that 20-year-old model Freddy and his dad Jeff, 46, have continued to argue about his close relationship with his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden, 68

Opening up about his family life, Bobby, 22, has claimed that his younger brother is ‘very sensitive and wants to please’.

He told The Sun on Sunday: “When he grows up a little bit that will serve him well. There are things I don’t like about him and there are things about me he doesn’t like.

“Freddy will be OK, I don’t know if he looks up to me, but I look up to him in many ways, but he’s a good boy.”

It was recently reported that Jeff is attempting to legally block contact between his youngest child and Jackiey.

Freddy is currently currently living with his grandmother, who is the mother of late Big Brother legend Jade Goody, who died in 2009 at the age of 27 following a battle with cervical cancer.

This Morning star Jeff has spoken in the past how the passing of Jade has had a major impact on his and all of his family’s lives.

He previously told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “To lose the mother of your children is a huge trauma that, of course, shapes your life.

“It comes down to the fact that we need her. It’s not just about missing her – we need her as a mother at the moment, and we always have done, in all honesty.

“I think sometimes it’s termed that she is missed and we’re doing our best to cope. Sometimes, you have no choice but to look at it and realise we need her at this point.”
