An Emmerdale star has broken his silence on rumours that he’ll be leaving the ITV soap opera very, very soon.
Lawrence Robb, who plays the role of Mack Boyd on the programme, addressed theories that his character would be killed off by John Sugden.
Just weeks ago, the actor shared his feelings about potentially leaving the show while appearing on Loose Women.
Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb addresses rumours that he’s leaving the ITV soap opera
According to The Mirror, he said: “There are lots of rumours, and rumours they shall remain.”
The Emmerdale star added: “I’ve always said that being in the show, I never want to be too prescriptive with it. I’ve always enjoyed doing what I’m doing.
“If, and when, the time to leave comes, whether that would be my choice or the choice of the producers, then I will be thankful for the time that I’ve had. Ultimately, no one is safe in the show. Especially not in that village!”
Away from the popular daytime panel show, he has hinted at the horrible ending awaiting his character on the ITV programme.
He said: “One hundred per cent yes. There’s no two ways about it. This evidence puts him in a dangerous position.”
Teasing that this could lead to John’s downfall, he added: “Look, there’s certainly a chance Mackenzie has the capability to bring John down. If he does – well, that remains to be seen.
“But there’s potentially a very bleak outcome on the horizon.”
“It’s not looking good. Whilst Mackenzie has got the argument with Charity on his plate, he’s also got a pretty critical moment with John on his plate as well. And, combine these two things, and it does not spell good things.”
