Very EMOTIONAL News!!! Beth Cordingly feeling ‘very lucky’ over romance with Emmerdale legend

Emmerdale’s Beth Cordingly has opened up about her relationship with a former star of the show, admitting she feels very lucky to be with him.

Beth plays Ruby Fox-Miligan in the ITV soap. The character is the husband of Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and mum to Steph (Georgia Jay) and Nicky (Lewis Cope).

The star has been part of the Emmerdale family now for over a year, and absolutely loves her life there.

Beth is still at the centre of a storyline that focuses on Ruby and her traumatic past. Shortly after Ruby’s dad Anthony (Nicholas Day) arrived in the village, we learnt he was responsible for sexually abusing Ruby when she was a child.

Featuring in a lot of scenes amid a hard-hitting narrative is certainly a challenge for any soap actor. Fortunately, Beth has found herself in privileged position, as she’s been able to run lines with partner and actor Ian Kelsey.

Ian starred as Dave Glover between 1994 and 1996. The character married Kathy Bates (Malandra Burrows) and had an affair up with Kim Tate (Claire King).

‘He’s worked with me on the script’, Beth said in a chat with the Mirror.

‘Because we both really enjoy working on things together. To be in a relationship with someone who you can do this with, it’s really special. I’m very lucky’.

A few weeks ago, Caleb discovered Ruby had slept with his brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).

‘When I found out they were going to sleep together, I jumped on my feet!’, Beth revealed.

‘The love story is Cain and Moira, Caleb and Ruby. And this is a massive hand grenade thrown into the middle of it.’

Caleb chose to work through the relationship challenges with Ruby once he learnt of her betrayal, rather than end their marriage.

In tonight’s episode, Moira (Natalie J Robb) will decide if she wants to do the same with Cain.

What will she say?
