Coronation Street is plotting a dark alliance between two surprising characters in an upcoming criminal twist.
As Brody Michaelis continues to make poor choices, the teenager is confronted by Carl Webster, who, instead of berating Brody, promises to help him with his criminal endeavours.
In scenes air on Wednesday, 20 August, Carl enters the garage, where he is confronted with Brody, who is about to steal an expensive motor.
Carl warns Brody that he will end up back in the Secure Training Centre, telling him that if he wants to learn an easier way to steal cars, then he should come and see him when he’s back from Wales…
Will Brody be intrigued by Carl’s surprising offer? And what exactly does Carl have in store for him?
“Carl’s been up to no good at the garage for ages now – and it seems that he has no intention of turning his back on the criminal lifestyle,” our Corrie source shares.
“Brody’s in a tough spot, as he wants to bring in some money to help support his younger sisters but is struggling to find a legitimate job. It’d be no surprise if he ended up being tempted by Carl’s idea…”
Viewers will know that Carl has been using the garage to do some dodgy deals with Fiona Morley for some time now.
Meanwhile, Brody has also been on a dark path after recently attempting to rob his grandmother Bernie on the day of her wedding to Dev.
Previously speaking about his character, Corrie star Jonathan Howard, who plays Carl, teased a dangerous future for Carl and Abi in their ongoing affair plot.
On what might happen if the affair is exposed, Howard said: “Carl’s not been in Weatherfield very long. He can easily pack his bags and get on a plane and off he goes. For her, she’s got children, she’s got her whole life, her job, everything. She’s risking everything.”
