If you thought things had already reached boiling point in Walford, think again because Joel Marshall (Max Murray) is well and truly off the rails this week, and he’s dragging everyone down with him.
It all kicks off when Joel, clearly still stewing over everything that’s gone down, decides to take matters into his own hands. He storms over to No.5a with one thing on his mind: confronting Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James). But this isn’t just a calm chat to clear the air; Joel is full of rage, and he’s not holding back.
As he starts mouthing off, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) appears, and you can feel the tension shift. Joel, clearly looking for a fight, tries to wind Ravi up, by throwing jabs, both verbal and emotional, and pushing all the wrong buttons.
Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) steps in before things explode. She knows Joel’s trying to bait Ravi, and she urges him to keep his cool. It’s touch and go for a second, but somehow, Ravi manages to walk away.
You’d think that would be the end of it, but Joel isn’t done yet.

Later on, he runs into Avani again and wastes no time laying into her. He’s furious, ranting and raving in a blind rage.
Luckily, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) turns up just in time and steps in. Horrified by what she’s stumbled across, she grabs Joel and drags him home before things get any worse.
Back at home, Vicki lets rip. She’s had enough of the drama, the temper, the chaos Joel’s leaving in his wake. She gives him a proper reality check and tells him exactly how out of line he’s been.
She reads Joel the riot act, hoping to scare him straight, but the reaction she gets instead shocks her to her core.
How does Joel react, and what is going on with him? There seems to be a much bigger issue at hand here because if this week proved anything, it’s that Joel is spiralling fast, and if no one steps in soon, the damage might be permanent.
