The week of July 28-Aug 1, a deadly standoff in France left hearts shattered and loyalties tested, while back in Genoa City, new alliances formed, secrets festered, and the Newman family prepared for battle. With Carter’s shocking suicide, and Victor on the warpath, the stage is set for a major shift in power.
Carter’s Rampage Ends in Bloodshed
Carter’s unraveling ended in disaster as he shot and killed Chance while aiming at Cane, and then turned the gun on himself. Lily, Billy, and Cane were left reeling as they discovered Carter’s body in the maze. Lily, emotionally gutted, told Cane to stay away from her for good. Cane, however, had other plans.

As Sharon cared for an injured Nick in the train car, their bond reignited, culminating in a kiss. Nikki, meanwhile, refused to sign away Chancellor until she saw her son alive and well. She stood her ground against Amanda and Cane, demanding answers and accountability. Once the group was reunited and cell service restored, Victor wasted no time summoning help and planning his next move.

Victoria Mourns Cole, and Kyle Keeps Secrets From Claire
Claire broke the news of Cole’s death to Kyle, who promised to return to her side. When they reunited, Kyle avoided telling her the full story of his confrontation with Victor and Audra in France. Claire pushed for answers but sensed something was being kept from her. At the Newman ranch, Victoria clashed with her father over Claire’s decision to see Kyle before her family. Victor didn’t approve, but Victoria stood her ground an refused to let him dictate how her daughter grieves.

Amy Learns the Truth and Blames Herself
Amy’s world was shattered when Nate told her that Damian had been murdered. Overcome with grief and disbelief, Amy blamed herself for bringing Damian to Genoa City in the first place. Nate tried to console her, but the loss was too much for her to bear. Meanwhile, Claire opened up to Chelsea about the time she lost with her father and her fear of forgetting him.

Victor Declares War and Calls Out Cane
Victor was preparing for battle. He confronted Cane on the train and made it clear that Genoa City is his town, and Cane is not welcome. With a deadly glint in his eye, Victor warned that he is no longer a rival… he’s an enemy! Cane didn’t back down, declaring he’s ready for whatever comes.

Phyllis and Billy Get In on Cane’s Empir
Billy made his move to reclaim Chancellor, recruiting Phyllis and even striking a deal to have Cane buy out Jack’s shares of Abbott Communications. Phyllis kept mum about her growing alliance with Cane but hinted that big changes are coming to Genoa City and she plans to be right in the middle of them. Jack reluctantly agreed to the deal but warned that Cane is playing a dangerous game
Audra attempted to patch things up with Nate, apologizing for not telling him about Damian herself. She insisted he and Amy are her priority, though Kyle’s pointed questions about Vibrante made it clear tensions are still high. Nate, for his part, remained suspicious about what he wasn’t being told.
Diane Warns Phyllis and Doubts Cane’s Intentions
Diane confronted Phyllis over her partnership with Cane, accusing her of stepping over two dead bodies to chase power. Phyllis brushed it off, claiming Cane respects her and values what she brings to the table. Diane, however, warned her to be careful… Cane may be charming, but he’s also dangerous.

Tessa struggled with solo mom duties and shared her fears about Mariah’s absence. Daniel offered support, bonding with Aria and giving Tessa a brief moment of peace. Their heartfelt moments served as a reminder that amid the chaos, quiet connection still matters.
