Emmerdale is lining up a surprising change for Moira Dingle and new villain Celia Daniels.
Played by Casualty and The Bill‘s Jaye Griffiths, Celia made quite the impression when she first appeared, and has already got a list of enemies in the village.
One of those enemies was Moira, but as actor Natalie J Robb revealed, they are actually set to start getting along soon.
“[Celia’s] quite hostile and she was very rude when we first met, she said, ‘I know you need the money and I’d like to rent your farm’ — for like literally next to nothing — and Moira was like, ‘No, that’s not gonna happen.’
“But then Celia starts with a different approach, she starts to befriend her and Moira actually quite likes her in the end.
“The question is, Celia could be working with someone else to try and push her out, but it’s whether Celia will stick with that. She’s someone Moira doesn’t want to be reckoned with, she’s not somebody you would go against.”
Griffiths did reveal that Celia would “calm down” after her fiery start, although she’s still not someone to be trusted easily.
“She is such a strange, complex woman. There is more to come. It is so much fun,” the actor said.
“Celia wears farm clothes but there is not a scrap of mud on her. She is immaculate. She wears a cravat and there is a reason for that…”
Moira has plenty to deal with at the moment outside of the potentially duplicitous Celia, as an accidental assault leads to the Dingles falling apart.
