Emmerdale could be welcoming back a soap legend, according to fans

Emmerdale fans are predicting the return of a soap legend to cause some drama on Sarah Sugden and Jacob Gallagher’s wedding day.
Sarah (Katie Hill) has had a difficult few months. Living with a life-limited illness, she recently decided she wanted a baby and embarked on an IVF journey.
Her ex Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) supported Sarah’s decision and offered to be the sperm donor – which Sarah agreed to.

However, Sarah was later diagnosed with cancer, and in a tragic turn of events, she had to have a hysterectomy, meaning she can no longer carry children.

The pair have had a dramatic few months
The news left Sarah devastated, but grandma Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) came up with another idea, determined to help Sarah.
Charity ended up proposing the idea of her becoming Sarah’s surrogate – but the news didn’t go down well with the family, including Charity’s husband Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) and Jacob’s grandfather Eric (Chris Chittell).
Sarah and Jacob recently got engaged
This week though, the soap aired a massive twist when Jacob tried to get the baby drama off Sarah’s mind, by taking her out for a picnic.
Revealing he wanted to be more than just friends again, Jacob confessed his love to Sarah. Then, he ended up proposing to her, and despite being shocked, Sarah said yes.
But now, with Jacob and Sarah’s wedding looming, fans reckon a former resident is heading back to rock up on their special day.
Fans have predicted Andy’s return
Sharing their thoughts on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, viewers suspect Sarah’s father Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) could head back.
“Sarah’s wedding would be the perfect opportunity for Andy to return,” mused one person. Someone else agreed: “I agree.” A third chimed in: “Same, he should have come back months ago!”
Fans will recall that Andy made his debut way back in 1996. Throughout his time on the ITV soap, Andy was at the heart of numerous high-stakes storylines.
After years of turmoil, Andy decided to escape the village in 2016 after being framed for the accidental shooting of Lawrence White (John Bowe) by Chrissie (Louise Marwood).
