EastEnders is back on tonight following schedule chaos – but is it on as normal next week?

EastEnders returns to BBC One tonight, after taking the day off yesterday – but is it fully back to normal next week? This comes after the soap was shifted from its usual Wednesday slot due to the Women’s Euro semi-finals playing from 7.30pm – 10.35pm.

It wasn’t available on BBC iPlayer either, with three episodes having already aired as part of Monday’s double-bill and Tuesday’s relative return to normality. The soap returns to both BBC One and iPlayer today, airing at its usual time of 7.30pm, and also dropping at 6am on iPlayer this morning.

When is EastEnders on next week?

Once the Women’s Euro finals air on Sunday, the BBC schedules should return to normality from next week. This means that EastEnders will air from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm, returning to its usual schedule.

It will also continue to drop at 6am every day on BBC iPlayer, giving fans a chance to catch up on their favourite soap bright and early in the morning.

But what’s happening on EastEnders tonight?

Mike threatens terrified Oscar

After watching Oscar get rid of a one-night stand, Jack begs Oscar not to add pressure to Lauren and Peter’s already stressful lives. Hoping to help out, Oscar offers to babysit while Peter and Lauren go out for a romantic meal.

However, things take a drastic turn when Mike arrives at the house and threatens him. When Lauren and Peter arrive, Mark runs off. But not before leaving behind an ominous threat for Oscar to find. How much danger is Oscar in?

Suki is distracted as Vinny leaves Walford for Ash’s engagement party in Canada. Afterwards, she meets with the Granthi to seek advice over Avani’s pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Avani speaks to Barney about the pregnancy, telling him that she doesn’t plan on keeping the baby. Later, Suki tries to make amends with Eve for her recent behaviour. But what will she decide to do about the baby?
