Kim Tate in Emmerdale has a new man in her life and she’s feeling a bit giddy about it. But there’s one person who has mixed feelings about the love match: Dawn Fletcher.
Dawn’s reaction to Kim’s romance news has left viewers of the soap feeling pretty furious. They think she’s a hypocrite and should take a look in the mirror before judging others.

Kim Tate has a new man in Emmerdale and Dawn’s not happy
On Tuesday night (July 8), Kim sat Dawn down and confessed she had met someone. While things are not yet serious, Kim admitted she was enjoying messaging him and they had met up for coffee a few times.
The guy’s name is Eddie (or is it?!) and Kim seems like she’s enjoying taking those first few steps back into the romance game.
However, Dawn wasn’t too impressed and told Kim it was “weird” because it felt like she was “trying to replace” Will when he’d only been dead six months. Kim insisted it was “early days” and she definitely wasn’t trying to replace Will.
Kim later told Dawn their relationship was more important than anything that may or may not be starting with Eddie. She said she would end it if Dawn felt at all uncomfortable. Through somewhat gritted teeth Dawn said she was pleased for her, but admitted she was finding it hard.
She later told Joe she wasn’t happy for Kim at all.
Fans react
Her attitude towards Kim’s romance has not impressed those watching at home – especially seeing as Dawn recently had an affair herself.
Taking to social media, fans expressed their anger: “Is this woman for real??????” raged one. “She just sat in front of Kim with a straight face and said ‘bit weird replacing dad when he’s only been dead 6 months…’ Says the woman who replaced her husband whilst he was STILL her husband. I am begging the writers to GET RID OF HER.”
“Dawn shut up you replaced Billy while you was still married,” agreed one more.
A third added: “Dawn you hypocrite. Preaching at Kim replacing Will where you replaced Billy with Joe.”
“Well Dawn at least Kim waited until Will had dies before replacing him. You barely waited for Billy to leave the house before replacing him,” said a fourth.
So who is Kim Tate’s new man in Emmerdale?
All we know about Kim’s fella at this point is that he’s called Eddie and they met at the races. So he could be just about anyone.
But this is Soapland, so we’re betting he’s not just anyone and is, in fact, someone we already know. It’d be no fun if it was a complete stranger, would it now?!
Fans are convinced it’s Dr Crowley who has been seducing Ms Tate. Could that be the case? Or is it someone else completely?
