Friday’s episode (June 13) on ITV1 brought fans a surprising turn as Vinny, long seen as one of the village’s most loyal and well-meaning characters, found himself in a whirlwind of criminal antics, unexpected chemistry, and confusing emotions.
It all begins innocently enough when Vinny teams up with his new friend Kammy Hadiq for a little vigilante justice. The duo grow closer while plotting a revenge prank on a delivery driver who was rude to both Vinny’s girlfriend Gabby Thomas and his ever-fiery mum, Mandy Dingle.

Kammy, completely blindsided, pulls away in shock. Vinny, panicked, masks the moment as a joke. Kammy plays along and laughs it off, but later teasingly brings it up again. Suddenly, the whole encounter doesn’t seem so insignificant — especially not to Vinny, who now lives in fear that Gabby might find out.
Is Vinny simply confused, caught up in the moment… or is this the start of a deeper identity shift?
This storyline marks a major turning point for Vinny Dingle. Best known for his loyalty and heart-of-gold nature, the character might finally be confronting feelings he’s long buried — or never understood. Actors Lisa Riley (Mandy) and Bradley Johnson (Vinny) have hinted at “big stuff” ahead for Vinny. And judging by this episode, they weren’t exaggerating. Bradley told press at the British Soap Awards:
“It’s very exciting for Vinny. He’s questioning a lot of things in his life right now…”
