1. Stevie searches for answers

Stevie was shocked to find out that she isn’t actually pregnant and instead has a mass on her ovary. Next week she manages to escape the ED chaos during a shift to attend her gynaecology appointment.

After having a number of tests and scans, she is told that she will need to have the cyst removed to determine whether or not it is benign. As Stevie returns to work, she tries to digest this latest big news.

2. Indie faces her past

Indie is happy to no longer be struggling for money following her gift from Gloria – but she is anxious when she and Jacob get a call out at the prison. They navigate the hostile environment and treat prisoner Samuel in his cell, who was stabbed in a fight.

Samuel focuses in on Indie and asks her personal questions about her family. Indie is thrown off and accidentally makes the patient’s injury worse, but Samuel covers for her when Jacob asks questions. As they head to the hospital, it becomes clear that Samuel is Indie’s dad. How will Indie deal with this blast from her past?

3. Rida is frustrated

In the wake of Tariq’s exit, Rida struggles to adjust to Flynn’s new management style, but she manages to meet his bold new targets and Siobhan is impressed.

Rida is confident about a diagnosis for a patient, but she isn’t taken seriously by Russell. She later tells Sean that she just wants to be appreciated at work. Is she also considering her future in the ED?

4. Flynn is torn

Stevie tells Flynn that she plans to use an expensive medicine to buy more time for a patient but is disappointed when he refuses to spend departmental money on this.

However, Flynn later gets a better understanding of Stevie’s clinical decision. When Russell asks questions about the request for the medicine, will Flynn defend Stevie or succumb to his father-in-law’s pressure?
