1. Victoria is drawn into Sarah’s baby dream

Sarah struggles to find potential surrogates after making enquiries through agencies. Charity is quick to take matters into her own hands by approaching Victoria and asking if she’ll become the surrogate.
Victoria is left with plenty to think about as Charity claims that she’s the only chance that Sarah has.
2. Robert confronts Charity

Robert is unhappy when he finds out about Charity’s approach to Sarah. Visiting Charity and Sarah, he reminds them of Victoria’s trauma last time she was pregnant.
Sarah, who hadn’t even known that Charity had spoken to Victoria, is left frustrated by her gran’s tactless behaviour behind her back.
3. Cain falls victim to a scam

Cain also carries out research into potential surrogates for Sarah, desperate to help her achieve her dreams of becoming a mum.
When Cain arranges a meeting with one possible surrogate and she fails to turn up, it’s left to Ryan to point out that he’s been scammed.
Meanwhile, Moira becomes concerned as she notices how much Cain is using Sarah’s situation as a distraction to push aside his grief for Nate.
4. Charity makes a life-changing offer

With all other options reaching dead ends, Sarah seems ready to give up on becoming a mum. Charity responds by offering to be the one who carries the baby for her.
Cain is unimpressed by Charity’s sudden intervention, especially as she hasn’t spoken to Mack about it yet. Sarah is also uneasy over Charity’s decision to keep Mack in the dark.
5. Villainous Owen returns

John is shocked when his latest patient at the surgery is Owen, the guy who spiked Robert a couple of weeks ago. Owen is also taken aback when he suddenly recognises John.
Shortly afterwards, Robert spots John throwing Owen out of the surgery and is grateful for this show of support from his brother. However, even though Robert lets Aaron believe that all is now well between him and John, he still doesn’t trust his sly sibling.
6. Nate’s mum Cara returns

The Dingles attend the memorial service they’ve organised in Nate’s honour, as Tracy has banned them from the official service. Cain struggles through the day, but Caleb steps in and encourages him to relax.
At the very moment that Cain’s mood changes for the better, Nate’s mum Cara arrives at The Woolpack and accuses him of seeming too jovial at such a sombre occasion. An argument quickly erupts between Cain and Cara…

7. Cain stands up to Tracy
ITV
The Dingles discover that Tracy will soon be receiving a payout from Nate’s life insurance. Sam suspects that it’s a motive for murder, while Cain also takes the excuse to have another row with Tracy.
As tensions boil over, Cain warns Tracy that he’ll be attending Nate’s official funeral whether she likes it or not.
8. John looks ready to crack

The Dingles join Cain in his defiance and they all attend Nate’s funeral en masse the following day. With rows breaking out left, right and centre, John steps in and begs everyone to call a truce for the sake of respecting Nate’s memory.
Later, after earning everyone’s respect, John is asked to give the eulogy when Tracy can’t bring herself to do it herself. With DS Walsh watching among the mourners, John struggles with the pressure and looks like he’s about to confess in front of everyone.

9. John reaches out for help

As John’s guilty conscience leaves him in turmoil, he makes another call to a helpline for someone to talk to.
Given the nature of John’s crimes, though, this is surely a major risk if he says too much…
10. Paddy flees from the vets
ITV
Paddy works alone at the vets and struggles to cope when a customer arrives with a large dog. Plagued with bad memories of being attacked by a dog on Celia’s land, Paddy is frozen with fear and unable to to treat the animal.
Desperate to avoid any similar incidents, Paddy closes the vets and calls in sick the next day. He ends up confiding in Mandy about his new fear of dogs – could meeting with Vinny’s friendly pet Chip help to resolve the situation?
11. Bear’s whereabouts are revealed

Bear features in scenes for the first time since his departure from the village.
As Bear stumbles through the countryside on his own, it’s clear that he hasn’t managed to find a viable place to stay – but is still too proud to return to the village and lean on Paddy for help.
12. Nicola receives a shock

Lewis’s success at the café continues as he launches a new menu, which impresses the villagers.
Nicola is frustrated that Brenda – who’s still officially part of the business – is reaping the rewards of other people’s hard work. However, before long, Nicola receives some surprising news…
